MEMBERSHIP A range of membership categories are available for those who work or have a professional interest in the delivery and development of public sector Culture and Leisure Services in Scotland. The Association seeks to support its members and develop the services as a result of an active and participative professional network. New members are always welcome and the Associate membership category is intended to ensure that former culture and leisure professionals can maintain an active interest in the sector. FULL MEMBERSHIP Full membership is offered on an individual basis to: · Senior officers, employed by local Authorities, who are responsible for a cross sector portfolio of culture and leisure services · Senior Officers, employed by local Authorities, who have responsibility for the management of any single service within the culture and leisure portfolio · Lead Officers, employed by local Authorities, who provide advice on culture and leisure services · Chief Executives or Strategic Managers of 'Not for Profit' organisations delivering services on behalf of local Authorities in Scotland ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP Associate Membership is offered on an individual basis to former culture and leisure professionals who have retired or are no longer active, in a professional capacity, in the sector. Further information on Associate Membership is available on request from enquiries@vocalscotland.org.uk COMMERCIAL MEMBERSHIP Commercial Membership is offered on an individual basis to culture and leisure professionals who work closely with the local authority culture and leisure sector. Applications are invited from consultants and suppliers who have a specific interest in assisting with the development of public sector culture and leisure services. All applications, in this category, will require the approval of the VOCAL executive. CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP Corporate Membership is offered to organisations who have an interest in the culture and leisure sector in Scotland and wish to support VOCAL’s aims and objectives. Applications are invited from NDPBs and other key strategic partners. If you wish to become a member for any of the above membership categories please complete an application form and return. HONORARY MEMBERSHIP Honorary members may be elected at Special or Annual General meetings of the Association in recognition of their substantial contribution to the development of leisure and cultural services.
