MEMBERSHIP
Cultural and Leisure Services are a major component of the civic infrastructure and make a significant contribution to the quality of life of communities in Scotland. Their Intrinsic value is confirmed by the high levels of satisfaction regularly recorded in user surveys. Services are valued not only for their specific provisions, but for their contributions to a sense of community and to personal and collective perceptions of well being. FULL MEMBERSHIP Full membership is open to: · Directors or Chief Officers employed by local Authorities who are responsible for the above services · Senior Officers/Managers who have responsibility for the management of any of the above services · Lead Officers who provide advice to Councils on the above services · Chief Executives or Strategic Managers of 'Not for Profit' organisations delivering services on behalf of local Authorities in Scotland Associate Membership Associate Membership is open to a range of other Managers/Senior Officers employed by a local Authority or 'Not for Profit' organisation delivering the above services on behalf of local Authorities. In addition Associate Membership is open to persons employed by professional bodies dealing with any of the services noted above who is in overall charge of the organisation; Directors or heads of sections in Non-Departmental Public Bodies responsible for any of the above services; Partners or senior managers in consultancy practices which have substantial expertise in any of the above services; and persons who have been members of the Association but who no longer meet the criteria for full membership.

Honorary members may be elected at Special or Annual General meetings of the Association in recognition of their substantial contribution to the development of leisure and cultural services.
